Camp House Cuisine: Slow Cooker Grassfed Chuck Roast

Take yourself back to grandma’s kitchen with this easy and delicious roast recipe. This was a Sunday after-church regular around our house and is still is today. It’s easy and we need easy in our life! As my dad would say “It’s good and it’s good for ya!”

2 lb chuck roast
1/4 cup coco aminos
2 cups beef broth
1 tbsp dijon mustard
1 tsp minced garlic
2 tsp onion powder
1 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
1 tbsp corn starch
1/4 cup water

Combine all ingredients in the crock pot, except the meat, corn starch and water. Stir well. Add the trimmed roast. Cover and cook 6 hours on low. Remove meat. Add 1 tbsp corn starch to a 1/4 cup of water. Mix well and add to crockpot. Cut meat apart, add back to crock pot and continue to cook an additional 2 hours. Pairs well with mashed potatoes or risotto. Enjoy!
