Camp House Cuisine: Spaghetti & Grassfed Meatballs

I don’t know why spaghetti and meatballs is so much more fun that spaghetti and meat sauce, but it is. Maybe it make me feel like I’m in a fancy Italian restaurant. But this recipe is a favorite. Especially when you put it with the best grassfed ground beef. ;) Try this one out on the fam! It’s a hit with mine!

Spaghetti & Grassfed Meatballs

Meatballs:

2 lb ground grassfed beef
2 large eggs
1 cup Italian-style breadcrumbs
½ cup grated parmesan cheese
½ cup yellow onion, finely minced
2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon minced garlic

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Mix all ingredients well and roll into 1.5” meatballs. Place on rimmed baking sheet lined with parchment paper, evenly spacing meatballs. Bake for 15 minutes, then turn and bake another 5 minutes. Remove from pan and set aside.

Spaghetti Sauce:
2 pkg McCormicks Spaghetti Sauce Mix
3 cups water
2 cans tomato paste
2 tbsp butter
3/4 cup heavy whipping cream

Add all ingredients but whipping cream to a large saucepan over medium heat. Simmer for 15 minutes. Add whipping cream. Simmer 5 minutes.

Add meatballs to the saucepan. Serve over spaghetti noodles or pasta of our liking. Serves 12. Enjoy!
