Camp House Cuisine: Hamburger Guacamole Patties

Typically, we’re gonna put recipes on here that make you think of home, and maybe gain a pound or two while you eat it! Not today. Today is clean, no-carb goodness that will feed your cells and make you strong as Superman! (Did I sell it??) In all seriousness, this is a healthy recipe that is easy to put together, quick to grill up and well-received around our house.

Guacamole Burger Patties

2 lb ground beef
1 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
1/2 cup diced onion
3 large avocados, peeled, seeded & smashed
2 roma tomatoes, diced
1 jalapeno, seeded and diced
1 tsp Texas Hot Salt
shredded colby jack
bell pepper for garnish

Add salt, pepper and onion to the ground beef, and mix well.Make into six 1/3 pound patties. Grill for 4-5 minutes on eachside. For the topping, mix smashed avocados, dicedtomatoes, diced jalapeno and hot salt. After the patties comeoff the grill, top with guacamole, then garnish with cheese and a sliver of bell pepper. Serves 6. Enjoy!
